What an amazing front page from The Sun. I was sitting on the train this morning and saw a lot of people reading this piece. As a piece of visual creative I think it is incredible. The juxtaposition of the kids and the signs really got to me. Quick straw poll of the agency (with a mix of ethnic backgrounds) and everyone agreed that it was really brave of The Sun and had huge power and shock value. I am going to be interested in seeing what it provokes.

Nice one.
Maybe we're getting over the cool-to-be-thick culture that made Jade a million.
Bullying in schools is apparently becoming more widespread and more violent - and more racist and homophobic. So this front page can only be a good thing.
It would be interesting to see the effect on circulation - it's hardly their usual heavy impact headline, more thoughtful Independent-style theme...

An agency with a mix of ethnic backgrounds. Oh Really? tell me who do you work for.

Marie - your posting made me laugh. I moved to the States to work in 1999 and before then I agree most agencies in London were pretty white, middle class places and while I know that has not changed enormously, when I came back to London I did find that the make-up of agencies had changed quite a lot. For me, it's the lack of people over the age of 40 working in agencies but that's another post...

i noticed that front page on the day too. it seemed like a bit of a u-turn by The Sun from its customary bullish, xenophobic and indeed racially provocative stance (only days earlier they were laying into Eastern Europeans) whatever sells papers i spose.
