link to petition is broken....

A brilliant campaign . . now who could be behind that do you think?

R N B

Still a broken link there. I don't know what sort of brain would cook up such an idea.

1. If we are going to standardise holidays with Europe, we should standardise time zone too.

2. Those of us who run our own businesses would lose out financially if there were more "bank" holidays.

3. There are better ways to reduce national GDP

Correct me if I'm wrong but this petition allows just about anybody to sign up right? I visited the link just a few seconds ago and realized how many have already signed. Honestly, just getting a hundred signatures is difficult especially if you don't have a huge market or a proper campaign strategy but this particular one is going rather well. The site only lists the names of the last 500 to sign up. Whatever happens, I hope the result becomes favorable. 4 or 5 extra holidays are always welcome.

Hi Amelia, this is part fo the Thomas Cook Jan acmapign, no? It's implemented from a TV campaign to store level (allegedly). What do you think of it as execution of an integrated idea? Of course, they are also giving holiday bookers a "free" day on their holiday...

Amelia

Ahhh - you're so right!

I like it actually, I know that it Thomas Cook are going to benefit financially if here is another long weekend in the year, but we are all going to benefit emotionally...
