That's not meant to happen to Team GB.
Suddenly the mood seems to have changed, with people really getting behind London 2012.
We're not that good at celebrating things in this country, but this strikes me as something that we really ought to make a song and dance about.

I glimpsed some of this on a silent TV in the gym and didn't make a connection with the Olympics (must have been a quick glimpse I know) and even then it made me smile. Lovely idea.

Nice one indeed.
The fantastic performances of Team GB is a massive boost for the next games and it will be wise to milk and leverage that boost as much as possible.
My only worry is a millennium bridge/Terminal 5 / Wembley stadium - like shamble.
Man...if it takes them 2 years to fix the escalators on the tube, how on earth are they going to build the olympic site + village for 2012???
They can potentially soooo f**k it up...it will be a miracle if they won't.
